Warmachine - game on!

After helping starting up the local games club here in Eksjö and getting a permanent local, I have been able to play a lot more games, yesterday was the official opening with a little celebration and it was a lot of people the as well as new people dropping by to see what it was all about. A great day!

I also got to play some Warmachine, two 25p games with my cygnar, one game against the Khador, and one against Menoth, it went sour for my valiant shooters, but I was fun to play, and against Menoth it was a tense game to the bitter end. Next time...

Stormwall glazing

A nice evening with good music and drink, and at last a little time to paint again after who knows when!
I am working with light colors first and going darker as the model gets closer to finish. Lots of thin glazes in many blended layers is the way to go here, the large bent surfaces on the model is great fir this technique, and I look forward to more brush time with this steamy brute!

Stormwall primed

To celebrate my last day and night at my last work for a while I celebrated by putting together the last pieces and priming my Cygnar
Stormwall monster. This model is a really big beast! I drilled out the cannons and exhaust pipes and there is a lot of pinning on this model, there was a small piece missing too, one of the four small arms that holds the torso and groin together.. Ah well, a bit if battledamage I guess and nothing really visible that I care to replace.

Now on to painting the beast!

Back from a magical land..

I got home yesterday from a long time out in the dark forests with lots of old and new friends, battles, fireballs, blood rituals, sneaking, demons and magic.
I am still dead tired and find new bruises all the time and I just love this feeling! Thanks guys!

Back home is this package waiting for me with a Cygnar Stormwall, X-wing and some magnets. Another good week it will be!

Cygnar magicians!

You know those figures you bougt on a whim, when you already had more than you could paint? As a result they stay in their blisters for a long time, or perhaps you started to paint them, just an undercoat or a little basic coloring?

These two ladies have been unattended for almost a year now, and just like that I suddenly thought that they would be really fun to paint!

As a little extra I figured I should try to make a little extra on their faces, and a little washing, blending, cursing and layering later, here are the results:

Cygnar group shot

Just a pic of my Cygnar army, still trying to figure out how to take good pictures, but I guess I just have no patience to wait for that sun to ever show again...

Cygnar city wall

I have started to make an additional section to my Warmachine gameboards, the city wall of Cygnar. I hope this will be a great addition to my troops and a fun piece of terrain to game on.

Here are some pictures of the work so far:

I also have finished Commander Stryker, so I finally can field an all painted warband! :)

Stormblades and Trenches

Here are my stormblades, fresh from the painting table, and I'm aware that I should have cleaned up the bases.

I also have finished the trenches today, they turned out quite nice I think.

Dr. Trencher and Mr. 'Jack

I have finally finished my first few models for Warmachine. As I have been working a little bit here and a little bit there on almost all my models it is quite a miracle that some guys ever got finished!

Here are the cannonf.. hm, trenchers I mean.

And the backbone and pride of the Cygnar army, the Warjacks.

Hopefully my trenches will get ready today, as some of the intervening models are out of the way now.

Ol' Rowdy

I think I am finished with my Ol' Rowdy conversion! I didn't need an Ironclad 'jack, and Rowdy is perfect for my little army led by Stryker. Extra armor plating, spikes and double exhausts should make it a no-brainer what this model represents on the table.
The picture really show all the bad sculpting, but brave as I am I'll will show the monster to the world:
