First Bushido model done!

A stout defender of the well of solitude he is about to chase away the Goblin of Screams. I really enjoyed painting this yari wielding model, great sculpt and I look forward to paint the rest of the gang. They will be painted all together now that I know that the scheme works and looks good. More to come, and maybe a little oriental inspired terrain as well!

I can't shake 'em!

The lone X-wing once again had a hard time with those pesky Tie fighters. Todays game went great for mr. Skywalker at first, almost shooting down mr. Badass Tie pilot who fled behind an asteroid. Some cat and mousing later the ties had him tied down and his escape manouver chrashed him into one enemy while the other blasted him to bits from close quarter, inflicting one damage and two criticals, one who took him down for good.
Not so historical but lets say he was rescued from R2D2 who seems to have all the nifty gadgets he needs...

Today we added the rest of the rules, characters and upgrades and had a blast! :D Hopefully we will see some more ships soon..

I seriously need a black cloth or something.

Bushido

I was at Gubbspel this weekend with my baby Tiny Terrain to show my stuff and talk to customers about what they liked and would like to see in the future, a very rewarding day indeed!
I also got to play a little, X-wing and saga. Very nice games! I didn't get to play Bushido, but the theme and models sold me as well as a very promising set of rules. As I have both viking models and the X-wing starter it was only natutal to grab a Bushido starter!

Stormwall glazing

A nice evening with good music and drink, and at last a little time to paint again after who knows when!
I am working with light colors first and going darker as the model gets closer to finish. Lots of thin glazes in many blended layers is the way to go here, the large bent surfaces on the model is great fir this technique, and I look forward to more brush time with this steamy brute!

Stormwall primed

To celebrate my last day and night at my last work for a while I celebrated by putting together the last pieces and priming my Cygnar
Stormwall monster. This model is a really big beast! I drilled out the cannons and exhaust pipes and there is a lot of pinning on this model, there was a small piece missing too, one of the four small arms that holds the torso and groin together.. Ah well, a bit if battledamage I guess and nothing really visible that I care to replace.

Now on to painting the beast!

Work vs life vs hobby

Another post without a picture... Just wanted to tell you that after a chaotic summer I am in the first phase of moving to another flat as well as taking a temporary(?) leave from my job in order to get my terrain buisness to speed. This includes moving all my work stuff to my office (yeah!) and get settled in.
Ahead are at least 6 months of full time terrain building dedication, so it will hopefully get somewhere now.

This also mean that I can separate the work from my hobby and at last get back to the hobby - as a hobby.

**EDIT**
Proof for the unbeliever:
Here I sit, like a boss, no.. As the boss! :)
