Dropzone assembled

Well... So much for one project at a time. :)
The models are cleaned and glued and I think the rain will keep itself at bay for a few more hours, so on to priming! I have (finally) decided on a desert paint scheme, so on with the army painter brown spray!

Dropzone Commander has landed

Well, lets just say that I am a very happy person right now. :)
I have made a promise to myself to keep the projects one at a time, so if I can keep that my Bradley diorama will get finished before all the gorgeous minis in the UCM starter (plus a few blisters...) gets any geeklove from me, but at least I had to dive into the box and look at the fantastic sculpts.
I realize that I sound like a true fanboy, but when you have seen the models for yourself, so will you.
I don't have the light or camera to do the models justice right now, but they ARE as good as the website shows them.
Now order some for yourself!

Bradley part two

The model is built, and I am working with the infantry now before priming and painting. I think this will come out pretty good, I really like the size of models in this scale!

Land War in Asia

So, this post is part to enter a contest, and part to send some thoughts to the readers from my experience regarding trying something new. With this in mind I shall start to LINK to the inspirational post by Mr. Landwar, the post Drive-By was the last one AAR post I read before trying the FoF ruleset after reading lots of different AAR's on different blogs and forum, as well as Landwar's own posts.

My point here is that I find that blog a very well written one with nice in-game photos making it easy to follow rules-wise as well as narrative. In short, very inspirational and fun to read!

I dare to believe that this Drive-By post was the thing that made me want to try out FoF for myself even though I had no opponent. So, not only did it inspire me to try a new set of rules, it also opened the door to real solo gaming.

So regardless if you do have opponents or not, it shall not hinder you to try out something new once in a while, be it rules or solo gaming!

Starting up the Bradley

I have begun to build the Academy Bradley in 1/35 this week, today I seem to have catched the autumns cold but managed to splash some paint to the interior parts and assemble them.
As the only way to see the interior is through the open rear I decided not to spend too much time on the painting.
My plan for this model is to make a diorama around a US roadblock using the infantry figures I bought along with the Bradley.
