Painted Grey Knights, Nordic Edge sneak peak and BIG viking book!

I am finished with my first two marines, the brave test models, I am happy with the result and the rest will have this scheme. What I dont know is how I want the bases to look, but in my experience it is usually best to do all of them at the same time to save time and keep the uniform look. I used a red flourocent vallejo colour on the eyes, powe weapons and the "magic" ammo, gw paints thus blue, but I wanted to try this funky color, and it looks pretty good to me.

Today a large package arrived, yay! The newest and best book about Viking warfare to date, I bought my copy from the Swedish military history book club as it wont be availible untill this fall for the rest of you. (swedish readers can do yourself a favour and join at www.smb.nu its free and no obligations)
It look like a great read and I am already planning a small village diorama! :)

Due to Eng's request I included some pictures from the Nordic Edge vol. 3 that I mentioned earlier, enjoy, then go get it!

  1. Damn this is good.

Extremely nice miniature, even if its evul empire...
That book about the Vikings looks extremely interesting to..
And the spread of the model books looks like a treasure tome...

  2. Excellent marines! I do like the darker metal look than the GW shiny aluminium look. The red is awesome too.

Yeah, got the Viking book as well. Now I want to paint my SAGA vikings again... like I don't have enough projects!
